Fall adventures

Again, I am a little late with the posting but here goes…

I love the changing seasons and have been enjoying driving around amist all of the beautiful trees and falling leaves.  All the kids seem to be as drawn to these changes as I am and we constantly have dried leaves ground in the carpet because everytime we go outside they collect several beautiful leaves and bring them inside.

We have also been enjoying some of the other aspects of fall such as:

The Pumpkin Patch!!

A pumpkin carving party complete with good friends, hot spiced cider, home made split pea soup, baked pumkin seeds and pumkin pie…

And of course HALLOWEEN!  Josh was sick the day before Halloween and still recovering on Halloween so while Daniel, Olivia and I went trick or treating with friends (see above) Josh and Leif stayed home to relax.  I didn’t get a picture of him in his costume because he really only wore it long enough to trick or treat down our block but he did manage to get a picture of his candy (see below) and yes, he really did only trick or treat one block, I guess that was enough…

All in all we are having a good time.  Josh recovered from being sick and we even managed to keep it from spreading through the entire house.  It has been off and on stormy and then sunny and there are just enough sunny days that the gray and gloomy days still seem a little exciting and fun.  Fall has also given us new excuses to spend lots of time with family and friends and I think we are all happy to have had so many reasons to meet up and spend some good, quality time with those we love.
